Ex-Machine Head Guitarist Phil Demmel and drummer Dave McClain just released a great Machine Head outtake via Demmel’s YouTube channel. Written yet trashed during the Catharsis recording sessions, the new track “The Permanent Decay” features the hard hitting Machine Head style-riffs and drumming we’ve come to expect from Demmel and McClain.  In fact, “The Permanent Decay” is arguably better than most of the polarizing Catharsis (which I didn’t like too much) and a superior representation of both Demmel’s and McClain’s abilities. To help bring this track to life, Demmel and McClain enlisted help from Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, and Bleeding Through vocalist Brandan Schieppati. Here’s to hoping that they form a super group together.
