The Guardians Of The Galaxy will be in the next Thor movie. In an interview with ComicBook’s First Printing, Groot voice actor Vin Diesel affirmed that the galaxies most notorious yet lovable anti heroes will be in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love And Thunder in some capacity. Additionally, Diesel claimed that we’d see a new incarnation of Groot dubbed “Alpha Groot” which makes sense. In Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2, Diesel’s loving yet mischeivious tree character took the form of Baby Groot, and in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the character became Teen Groot.
Taika Waititi is going to use the Guardians of the Galaxy in Thor 4.

As far as movie news goes, this is pretty exciting. Thor: Love And Thunder already had my attention. With Waititi (Thor Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit) returning to the director’s chair, Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster taking the lead role, and Christian Bale being an antagonist, I was already sold on Thor: Love And Thunder, but with the addition of the Guardians Of The Galaxy, I’m full on excited. The Chris Hemsworth Thor and Guardians Of The Galaxy character banter were some of the best parts of the last two Avengers movies, and now that they’re all coming back, Thor: Love And Thunder appears to be the biggest MCU event post Avengers: Endgame. So stoked.
