Kingsman: The Golden Circle (or Kingsman 2) is the sequel to the 2014 box office hit Kingsman: The Secret Service. Directed by Mathew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kick Ass, and Stardust), Kingsman as a franchise is an ode to classic over the top and gadget heavy james bond style British spy thrillers that imbues the England’s favorite style of genre film with an R-Rated edge (cursing, hyper violence, and a controversial sex scene in Glastonbury all included).
The movie follows a young man named Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and tech wizard Merlin (Mark Strong), and has an impressive cast of Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, Halle Berry, and Colin Firth. The Kingsman are destroyed by a drug cartel called The Golden Circle, and Eggsy travels to the United States to seek the help of Kingsman’s U.S./American equivalent (cousins) called the Statesman.
Check to see whether it’s good or bad in my review (though I will forewarn you, there isn’t an action scene as good as the controversial Westboro Baptist Church massacre sequence.
